Say hello to three new colleagues who bring fresh perspectives, solid expertise, and great energy to our team. From frontend development to hardware engineering and WATS product development, Pia, Anker and Jon each contribute with unique backgrounds and passions — both on and off the job.
Jon Grendstad – ICT Engineer in the WATS Team
Jon Grendstad is a familiar face at Virinco, having worked in various departments during his studies. He recently completed a five-year degree in Engineering and ICT at NTNU in Trondheim, specializing in Operations Management, and has now joined the WATS team full-time.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys travelling and keeps active with both tennis and padel.
Why did he choose to stay at Virinco?
I chose to stay with Virinco because of the great team environment and because I find it motivating to work with a product I genuinely believe in. The industry we operate in is also exciting — and a great match with both my studies and professional direction.

Meet Pia, our new frontend developer
Pia Hanslien – Frontend Developer in the WATS Team
Pia Hanslien has joined the WATS team as a frontend developer, bringing creativity, organization, and a user-focused approach to her work.
A true explorer at heart, Pia loves discovering hidden gems around Norway — and flying off to new international destinations whenever she gets the chance. Music is also a big part of her life, and she attends concerts as often as possible. Her dog Luna is her faithful hiking companion, best friend, and joyful time-thief.
Anker Bjerkestrand – Hardware Engineer
Anker Bjerkestrand joins us with a master’s degree in analogue electronics and radio technology from NTNU — and a fresh start in life, too: newly graduated, newly married, and recently relocated from Trondheim to Oslo.
Anker is passionate about learning and thrives on hands-on projects, whether it’s fine-tuning electronics or crafting custom furniture. Off the clock, he’s a devoted family man who combines a love of detail with meaningful connections.
