WATS Components and Features
WATS is an off the shelf Test Data Management & Test Execution software which easily integrates with NI TestStand and other test applications. WATS automates test data management and makes yield, CPK, general SPC and test & production data easily accessible through your web browser. WATS also manages workflow (enforced routing), software/firmware distribution, product configuration and manual inspections.
WATS act as a “plug in” to traditional MES systems, or as an adequate stand-alone system, and close the gap between business systems (ERP) and the test & manufacturing environment. WATS is the scalable alternative. It gathers all test data and distributes software and control parameters automatically from and to multiple test stations. In a small local area, worldwide -- or both new production sites and test stations can easily be added.
Today’s test stations often generate many different test results stored in variety of ways. Reporting formats and layouts are often left to test engineers. Test data is therefore rarely used before a problem occurs. Once there is a problem, time and resources are needed to gather necessary information to create reports and analysis. With WATS you are also able to export test data for more thorough analysis.
